Spicy Party Meatballs



With 2017 Super Bowl fast approaching; spicy party meatballs are a good addition to fun times. Check the recipe section and maybe you can try out this quick dish in time for the Sunday NFL lineup.


  • 1 1/2 lbs of lean ground turkey
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 bottle of organic ketchup
  • 1 jar of Trader Joe’s Hot & Sweet Pepper Jelly


Preheat oven to 400°F.  Add chopped onion, garlic powder, and bread crumbs to turkey meat in a large mixing bowl.  Roll the mixture and shape into tablespoon-size meatballs.  Coat baking dish with olive oil and place each meatball 1/2 inch apart. Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until they are no linger pink inside.

Sauce: Mix ketchup and TJ’s Hot & Sweet Pepper Jelly in a separate mixing bowl and stir.  Add cooked meatballs and sauce in a deep pan on top of the stove at medium heat until bubbly hot.

Quick Recipe:  Purchase fully cooked turkey meatballs, follow package instructions and the above-mentioned sauce directions. Serve and enjoy!!
