Staples of Southern Cuisine

In celebration of Martin Luther King’s birthday Pot Lucky author decided to make some classics. Fried cat fish, black eyed peas, sweet potatoes, corn bread and fried chicken (one of MLK’s favorite foods) cutlets. Food played an important part in the civil rights movement.  Popular leaders would gather together and enjoy the above mentioned foods, while devising the movements strategy.  Southern cuisine has always been an integral part of African-American culture.
