Candied Yams

sweet-potatoes

Put the top on the pot and allow contents to steam

Boil sweet potatoes for 10 minutes; they must remain firm

Cut them in half or quarters🍠🍠🍠🍠🍠

1/2 box dark brown sugar

1 stick of butter

8 oz. of crushed pineapple; use the remaining of juice in the can if desired 

Mix all above ingredients together  in a cast iron pan

Sprinkle cinnamon & nutmeg  on potatoes

Bake at 375 degrees in the oven for 30-40 minutes until they are candied

Baste melted ingredients as needed
