Lemon Garlic Pepper Chicken Wings


  • 1 pound of medium chicken wings
  • 1/4 stick of butter
  • 1/4 cup of chicken broth
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/8 cup of lemon juice
  • paprika
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper
  • cayenne pepper
  • canola oil


  • Clean & season wings with salt, black pepper, and sprinkle paprika on each wing to ensure coverage
  • Heat butter and garlic in a small saucepan on stove top; removing cloves in about 30 seconds
  • Add lemon juice, chicken broth, lemon juice, and a dash of cayenne pepper and simmer until well mixed
  • Remove from stove top and allow to cool
  • Pour cooled sauce on chicken, cover, and marinate for 2 – 3 hours in the refrigerator
  • Allow wings to thoroughly dry; pat with paper towel ensuring they are no longer wet from marinade
  • Fill deep pot/fryer with canola oil; oil should be no more than 1/3 fill of the pot
  • Heat the oil on medium- high heat; check to see if the oil is hot enough by dipping the handle-end of the spoon in the oil
  • When the oil bubbles around the handle; place a few wings at a time into the hot oil
  • Remove wings when they are golden brown on both sides
  • Drain on paper towel
  • Serve as a appetizer or with french fries
