Citrus Green Smoothie Bowl

Beth Bears of The 2 Broke Girls Star shares a breakfast full of fresh tropical flavors from her new wellness book, The Total Me-Tox.

  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach
  • 1 medium-size ripe frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup packed mashed avocado
  • 2 tbsp. honey or agave syrup
  • 1 tbsp. flaxseeds
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup coconut water
  • 2 ice cubes

Process all ingredients in a high-powered blender on high speed until smooth.  Pour mixture into bowls, and add your favorite toppings like granola, golden raisins, fresh blueberries, pomegranate seeds, dried pineapple, raspberries, goji berries and shelled pumpkin seeds.

Serves: 2      Total time: 10 minutes
