Self-Love

Many people spend much of their precious time worrying about how they look to others.  They wonder whether what they do or say measures up to another’s standards. Their lives are spent trying to please someone who many times could care less about the one who expends energy trying to be seen or acknowledged.

Recognize that this is the only life you know. Savor it. You are not in this world to live up to another’s expectations and neither are they here to live up to yours. Imagine doing all that you can do to be seen and you still go unnoticed.

Go after your own dreams. Don’t allow them to be deferred because you’re living vicariously through another.  Validate yourself. Make yourself happy. Love yourself.

  2. Very true and interesting. We must learn to love ourselves before we can love others. We must trust and believe that no one is better than you, but they may have better ways.
