Carmine’s on the upper west side of Manhattan serves up the best family-style cuisine in New York.  The ambience and service combined with enormous portions of traditional Italian dishes beats out the restaurants in both NYC’s Little Italy, located in lower Manhattan and the one on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.
